Festival News: Exhibitor, First Book Canada to host children’s author signings all day!

The Word On The Street is happy to welcome back First Book Canada to the Exhibitor Marketplace! First Book Canada is a registered charity, with an office in Toronto, that provides new books and educational materials to Canadian children from low-income families. Through work with publishing partners, an ever expanding network of volunteers, and book recipient groups, First Book Canada grants children in need unprecedented access to free and low cost books. First Book Canada works through existing community programs and literacy efforts already serving this population, elevating the quality of these programs with additional mission-related resources.

This year, First Book Canada is hosting a number of wonderful children’s authors in their exhibitor booth (booth 225) throughout Festival Day who will be signing copies of their books. This includes:

  • Kevin Shea (H is for Hockey) at 11:00am
  • Liv Spencer (Taylor Swift) at 12:00pm
  • Helaine Becker (The Haunted House that Jack Built) at 12:30pm
  • Philippa Dowding (The Gargoyle in my Yard) at 2:00pm
  • Don Calame (Call the Shots) at 3:00pm
  • Evan Munday (The Dead Kid Detective Agency) at 4:00pm
  • Cary Fagan (Jacob Two-Two on the High Seas) at 4:30pm

With such an amazing line-up of children’s authors, this is a truly an exhibitor that can’t be missed!
