Festival News: See what popular festival venues are returning in 2012!

FESTIVAL FAVOURITES – BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

This year’s The Word On The Street Festival is just six weeks away and we are pleased to announce the return of the following popular author reading venues:

The Great Books Marquee is the place to be for the most exciting and dynamic books of the year. Featuring the authors of hot spring and fall fiction, non-fiction, short fiction, and poetry titles, the stellar line-up includes Marjorie Celona, Steven Heighton, Pasha Malla, Stephen Marche, Cordelia Strube, and many more.

Stop in to the Sony Reader Lounge, where visitors are invited to test-drive the latest Sony Readers and speak with Sony experts to learn about the exciting future of digital reading.

Visitors won’t want to miss the Toronto Star Tent, which showcases popular Toronto Star columnists discussing a range of current affairs topics. Highlights include “The Year in Politics at City Hall” and “Bleeding Blue: The Year Ahead for the Toronto Maple Leafs.”

And that’s not all! The Vibrant Voices of Ontario Tent, supported by the Ontario Media Development Corporation, is a favourite festival destination that celebrates the outstanding fiction, non-fiction, and poetry produced by writers and publishers from our province. Come to The Vibrant Voices of Ontario Tent to hear readings by stellar authors including Bernie Finkelstein, Dennis Lee, Christine Pountney, Moez Surani, Susan Swan, and many more.
