The Word On The Street in Conversation with Great Canadian Authors: Shani Mootoo

Coinciding with the festival’s 25th anniversary this Sunday, September 21st, The Word On The Street presents a series of pre-festival interviews with bestselling authors. Enjoy their reflections on 25 amazing years of celebrating reading!

Yesterday we shared interviews with Craig Davidson, Robert Rotenberg, and Kathryn Kuitenbrouwer.

Shani Mootoo, recently longlisted for the 2014 Scotiabank Giller Prize for Moving Forward Sideways Like a Crab, reflects on discovery, and the stories of change that inspire her writing.

Mootoo will be appearing at the Bestsellers Stage at 12:00 PM, the Great Books Marquee at 1:45 PM, and at the Sculpting New Reads Tent at 3:00 PM, on Sunday September 21st.
